of no real significance
- My first ever official email address was schweetie88@hotmail.com. This was back when hotmail required you to log in every 30 days or so to keep your account active. If it went inactive, all your emails but not the folders would be purged, with no way to retrieve them. Out of curiosity, I checked to see if Windows Live would recognize the address in a Forgotten Password attempt; alas: “Windows Live ID is incorrect” in bright red type. Ah, curiosity. I believe I registered for this email address in 1998.
- There was no significance to the “88” in that old email address. I was born in ’82; 88 rolls off the tongue easily, but for the most part it is just a number I like.
- …much like how my favorite number is and has been 19 for as long as I can remember.
- My favorite day of the week is Thursday. Most people probably tell you they like Thursday because that means the next day is Friday, which for most of us means that is the last day of the work week. I’m not one of those people. I could tell you there is no good reason for my liking Thursday, even if there happens to be a specific reason. I feel a little embarrassed to tell you, though: I like Thursday because it sounds more mean than the rest of the days of the week. Angrier than the rest—perhaps a little less mean than Friday, but it still has that kind of rawr to it. Thurrrrrrrsday. Like a low, menacing growl. Or a purr, really, since I happen to be a Leo. /dork
