This post is long overdue. Back in November my sister and her man got us tickets to see An Evening with Neil Gaiman & Amanda Palmer at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. I have my own recording of the first song she performed on the ukulele, but I really wish I had recorded this performance of “Half Jack.” It blew me away. This recording does it no justice (but thank you to the uploader!), however listening to it reminds me of the chills running up and down my spine as she pounded away at the keys. I’ve been to some mind-blowing shows, but this one moved me like no other. Thank you, Amanda (and Neil!) for such an incredible show. I’ll never forget it.
